Yeah great stuff. I actually got it on vinyl and CD. But didn't know back then it would be possible (now) to scratch with cd's :-)
Question for you guys&galls: where is the sample "Chaaah!" (sample track 15) originated from? Sounds like "Wild Style" from the Zone..Who knows, please tell me!

Cheers...

EZ Ben! Yes mate I've got the first of those Warrioir groove records as well. I've got a little collection of odd bits and bobs that were scratch worthy back then too, I'll dig 'em out. I've got the first Norman Cook breakbeat LP which was never a big commercial thing plus a few other early pre-q bert bits... I also have that Sample Kings LP which has got some OK stuff looped up, I'll up that too.

Good look on the comment mate!

My copy of this is completely worn out. This was pretty much my first record that I really scratched to kcuf with. The 'Live At The Funhouse' samples I just went nutty with.
Actually I dug this out a few months ago and I couldn't get with it at all because of all the gaps between the stabs and phrases. Q-Bert done spoiled us!

And look at the difference between Volumes 1 & 2. The first one is all 808 & 909 bizness and then a complete change here with nice, nice breaks. I admit that I overdid Ashley’s Roach Clip and mixed with it with flippin every record in my collection at the time.

Overall though, a great set of loops although A2 & A3 were a little out of place - much as I love go-go I can't get with this mix.

I remember getting most of the Breakbeat series on Warrior Records around the same time, remember those? A little more 'hardcore' and well, cheap.
