Disco Scratch

Ladies and gents, every once in a while I drop a bollock and I did so with the calendars.

I didn’t do enough research into them and based the price on a few quick searches and the lowest prices I saw. This plus the fact that I chose a supplier that informed me they would be a fiver to manufacture.

Well, how wrong I was… I didn’t check the small print and what I thought was a fiver turned into £11.50 per calendar, PLUS they would not give me a discount for combined shipping..

So, I managed to find another place that was a bit cheaper but still more than advertised. Now I was willing to pay the extra at my own expense, but when I submitted the pictures, they came back to me saying some shite about resolution blah blah blah and they would be £9.50 each.

Well, after a couple of weeks of thinking about it and in light of recent events I propose the following:

It’s obvious I can’t do these calendars for the price I advertised, as far as I can see these manufacturers are taking the proper piss… so here are your options:

1. No hassle refund, just send me an e-mail to discoscratch@gmx.com and I’ll refund you the money (with big apologies), use the word “refund” in the subject line

2.If I get over 10 people willing to pay the additional £6.50 (extortion!!!), I’ll do a “Financial Calendar” from April 1st for a whole year with the full calendar as it was meant to be. If you fancy this, send an e-mail to discoscratch@gmx.com with the subject “calendar”

3. In light of my recent escapades with the stash of stuff relating to Mike Allen, I propose everyone gets a Mike Allen mug in preparation for the bundle Mex is going to sell this year… all net profits of which will go to Uncle Mike himself. This will act as a promotional tool, you’ll get a dope mug plus a copy of a signed original photo of the man himself and a newsletter detailing as much information that we have as possible at time of posting relating to the bundles of Mike Allen goodies coming up for sale. If you want the Mike Allen mug, please send an e-mail to discoscratch@gmx.com with the subject as “mug”

This is so it is easy to track…

I have spoken with Mex and got the nod to do this and I will be offering the mugs online for sale as a separate entity also, priced £7.50 plus p&p. Anyone that wants a mug instead of a calendar will NOT have to pay any more, you will get it at the price you already paid (least I can do!)

People I’m really sorry about how this has turned out… and the length of time it has taken for me to do something about it, but I hope you understand I do not make any profit from anything I do on Disco Scratch and never have and sometimes life just kicks me in the nuts.

So, to summarise, please add your comments in this thread on the forum and let me know what you want to do by e-mailing discoscratch@gmx.com with the appropriate word as described above.

Once again, thanks for your patience I hope you understand and that I have tried to resolve as best as possible…
