Last Thursday I went down to the Hare & Hounds in the South of Brum. Got a lift with DJ Cro (respect for the grub mate!), then into the venue to meet Pogo, Sparkii, Pritt, Mikey D, Maurizio (RSC) Beatmaster and a load of proper Hip Hop heads. Kosyne came up as well and we had a chat, nice one mate ( http://louisden.com )

So I got on stage to do my bit, a little LL Cool J “I’m Bad” intro, followed by the beat. I did 3 parts to the beat as there was loads of material on the records I bought to make a beat out of… and Pritt got back £9 change from a score!

Here’s some pics:

The night was wicked, with Cro dropping a bad boy underground set, followed by Ian Beatmaster rockin the wheels, then it was me (no one to battle, my opponent Darren Myers never showed up) followed by Sparkki rockin the mic, some beatbox and freestytles, then Pogo ripped it up with some B Boys out the crowd doing their thing, followed by Mikey D tering up the stage!

What a night and to top it off Mikey D announced we are going to do a track together! Can’t ask for more than that!

So here’s the track I made, props to Pritt for his ongoing support love & dedication to Hip Hop, to Mikey forblessing the mic and still slamming MCs on cement after nearly 30 years in the game!

To Pogo/Cro/Beatmaster for killing it on the wheels of steel, Sparkii for all his hard work & ongoing commitment to the scene, Keith for all the background work you did (respect to the molecule), and to all the heads I spoke to in the crowd nuff respect for turning up and supporting real Hip Hop!

Lastly sorry to the geezer who’s head nearly got taken off when I threw my breaks into the crowd!

Still, here it is… er, enjoy?

Simon Harris – Breaks, Beats & Scratches Volume 3 (Music Of Life 1989)

Vinyl rip @ 192kbps/44.1khz/16bit/stereo

A1 128 BPM Hip House (3:00)
A2 124 BPM Monster Beats (3:00)
A3 108 BPM Secret Beats (3:00)
A4 105 BPM Dopejam (3:00)
A5 124 BPM Pleasure Break (2:50)
A6 126 BPM Deep House (1:50)
A7 104 BPM Garibaldi Beats (3:00)
B5 121 BPM Southern Style and Fashion (3:00)
B6 FX & Scratches

3rd installment of gash beats knocked up with no soul, I gotta admit, these albums were pony then and are equally as bad now! I bought these back in the day purely for scratching purposes as they were the only ones out, but fuck me with a fish fork, the actual beats are dog shit, what was he thinking? I gotta be honest, I can’t be arsed to write out the 50 scratches on the back, I did it on the last 2 and I’ve lost the will wityh this one, I hope it doesn’t spoil your enjoyment!

Anyway, enjoy!!!!

Over the coming weeks I’ll rip the other 7 I’ve got (to be honest this is a bit of a nostalgia trip as to be honest, they were fairly arse even in 1987! Still, it was better to scratch aaaaahhhh and fresh! on this than on my fab 5 freddy 12! Apologies for the pops crackes & jumps (and worn out bits)

Enjoy…….
