Bigup all crew who tuned in LIVE last night, those that did were in for a treat as I played tracks exclusive to Disco Scratch which you cannot hear ANYWHERE ELSE from the UKs DOPEST MCs… Also as it’s Christmas, I decided to empty my sack into the computer and out popped some giveaways consisting of DISCO SCRATCH 2012 CALENDARS! By the time I did the competition I was a little bit lean on the Courvoisier, so I apologise if I got the winners wrong, so it’s only right that I address that balance and make sure that those involved in the discrepancy will get a calendar. The 2012 Disco Scratch official calendar will be available in the Shop on New Years Eve, for only £5.00 plus P&P (in the UK), a bit more elsewhere (TBC)

Had a wicked time last night and was reminded that I still need to get those KOTB T Shirts done and posted! I must win the award for the slacked prize giver outer in UK Hip Hop! Sooncome, PROMISE.

The Disco Scratch Radio show is brought to you in association with RAREKIND RECORDS & STYLE WARRIOR. Please visit these sites and support INDEPENDENT BUSINESSES giving you the garms & music you need!!!
So, download is below, RSS feeds should pick it up straight away or just search the iTunes store for Disco Scratch and you can subscribe…
So, have a super dope Christmas troops, big respect to you all and many thanks to the UK Pioneers that contributed to the show with festive messages & exclusive tracks:

Real life eh??? Kids ever growing, mortgage rising, bills glorious bills… (ahem maybe a slice of expensive wax every now & again, SHHHH!!!
So, this show is the VERY LAST LIVE SHOW EVER to be broadcast from the Palace Of Villainy… for those that have visited me here, you’ll know the name is very apt… it is in the cellar of a 100 year old (ish) victorian town house where weird shit a gwaarn… I have had the spirit of Norman Wisdom with me down here for a fair while bless him… you may remember the shows with the webcam on in the heady days of Ustream & Livestream (yeah, thanks for all the adverts SUCKAS!!!) and see me, Snoop, Finchy rockin’ the Cazals… LG playing biscuit roulette, my mellow REPO136 for the Star Wars Special… (I’m getting misty eyed here!!!)

The POV also had Mic master Def J a/k/a Original One in the booth, Whirlwind D both recording EPs (watch out next year)…let’s see… yep, Repo, Finchy, Lady from Heroes made an appearance once, Scenes14 from Suspekt rolled by, LG from Style Warrior… they all signed the King Of The Beats 3 foot squared plyboard spray that Pritt did, I won it back in 2009 as Birmingham champ… (if you’re interested you can here it below…)

I’m not normally a teary eyed kinda guy, but having a cellar like this to make beats, do the radio, have MCs in, get loose on the decks… it’s every DJ/Producers dream… I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for supporting the show, all my ideas and stuff, the music… but most of all I thank you all for supporting the UK Hip Hop Scene… without the likes of you guys, sites like mine, Websta’s Heroes Of UK Hip Hop & Repo136′s Ageing B Boys Unite would fall by the way side… so hats off to you… YOU ARE THE UK HIP HOP SCENE.

Wow. What a blast last night was in the Disco Scratchchatroom.
Seriously, it was nothing but good times throughout the 2.5 hours with Norman graciously taking his summer holiday.

If you were listening in live right to the end then you will have heard the bonus Easter Eggs such as the classic Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Finch and Straight Outta Tipton, as well as some early Waxer productions AND an exclusive first-play of the unreleased studio mix of a track featuringWhirlwind D, ‘32 And Tea‘.

Boomshanka!
Wow, again. ‘…Kangaroo‘ is a classic with it’s ingenious use of a particular Simon Harris voiceover over Rolf Harris but ‘..Tipton‘, well, that’s another story. I’ve heard this a number of times and yet I still fall about giggling with tears in my eyes EVERY TIME. Whoever made this is truly a master of this craft.

Anyway, as to the show itself – the last ABU! Takeover Show of the summer – it’s now available for download below.

So, the site gradually got flooded with toys/crab fakers/wack ass MCs & beatmakers, but there was always a core of heads that just know that right mix of ingredients to Wreck Shop. I have done collaborations with several MCs on this site, including the MC behind “An Old School Project”, Nepaul. He kicked the ballistics on the cut I did with him & Monsta Matt, ‘Flippin’ (below)

I really love this EP, not many new EPs come out with all or nearly all dope cuts on it, but this really ticks all the boxes. Nepaul is an MC in the true sense of the word and delivers effortless flows over dope production & scratching with clever wordplay, but never over complex. You can hear that Nepaul is at home on a mic and drops nice bars on these boom bap productions. These are all dope tracks, but “Perfection” is my personal favourite.

Check the links out, tweet him & tell him Waxer sent ya, download his EP for FREE and show my US cousin some love! Big respect for dropping this over Nepaul and props to the wax cutters & producers in the credits (NEEDLES wattup Cut Maniacs!) PS love the use of Bob James & The Ipcress files on this!

Peace, Waxer.
