Well people I had a phone call from a guy named Pritt who runs King Of The Beats

For those that don’t know, KOTB was the first event that I knew where producers could battle each other with beats in a proper old school way. In other words, you relied on your knowledge of beats and breaks to build a track, where you have to find the original samples in a short space of time on a digging mission, then back to the lab and make a beat. All in a day with no more than a score’s worth of wax.

So DJ Cro had spoken to me about the Louis Den event a little while ago, with the producers league which I was interested in, the KOTB came along and he put my name forward to Pritt.

So this Satrurday I’m going to meet him in Brum to have a good yarn about the event and hopefully from there I’ll be in it. Pritt has been striving for that true essence of Hip Hop and hopes to continue that with KOTB 3. So the event for Brum is at the Hare & Hounds on Thursday 1st October, flyer below… so if you want to catch old Waxer knocking a beat up and battling others, come along!

I am always knocking up new beats, always looking to collaborate with vocalists, so I decided to start upping my beats for your listening pleasure.  I’ll be posting tracks from the current era and from the last couple of years.  They’ve been in the vaults but I always get to a point with a track and then kind of leave it, even though I know I could get it out… If you are interested in collabing I use Logic 8, or I can knock a beat up in Ableton Live 7 or Reason 4 if you want the full file.
