label
Yes DS fans next year (2011) I am launching a label to start releasing proper vinyl. I have been messing about with the idea of a label for 20 years! I first thought of the WaxWorx Records label and logo back in 1990 and it’s been kicking around with no releases to this day, so I decided to relax myself with that one and start afresh.
What I’m planning to do with the label:
Primarily, this will be a platform to release some of my own productions, stuff from other UK producers with MCs blessing the tracks. I’ll be dealing with 12 inches for the forseeable future, no real interest in albums, maybe a few years down the line.
The other side to the label will be offering old school UK artists the chance to get their unreleased material out on plastic. I am doing this as it just has to happen! Technology has moved forward and the cost of pressing has reduced, so it’s within my financial ball park to drop some dope UK science…
If you feel you would like to release material on the label, let me know, use the contact page.
This is definitely going to be for the love of the scene, lets face it, there’s no real money in any of this, and I’ll be releasing vinyl at very reasonable prices. Back to 94 prices if I can!
So, old school UK artists with unreleased material, hit me up, that DAT under your bed covered in dust from the late 80s might just see the light of day…
