Get your funky egg nog on, light those scented candles, bung on those dodgy 10 year old fire hazard lights, pull back the tab on a cold can of red stripe, throw another log on that open fire and let the dulcit tones of Mr Repo136 & Mr WaxonWaxoff drift merrily over you as we drown you in verbal diorrhea!

Yes, 2 hours of chat about how good Hip Hop used to be, hear us moan about the state of the current scene, join in with our rants about lack of lyricism these days, suede Pumas, diamond pattern socks, 8 ball jackets and when Westwood was good….

That’s right you lucky people, on Saturday 19th December 2009, the 2 leaders in the retro UK Hip Hop scene combine for a legendary podcast. Fuelled by mulled wine, egg nog & meths, we aim to entertain you and ring a few people while we’re recording and put them on the spot. If you know us and we have your number, WATCH OUT!!! We’ll be dropping the dopest old school flavour, some apt Christmas joints, I might even dress up as Waxer Claus who knows!!!

We’ll take some pictures and take your attention for a few seconds as you marvel over pictures of us messing about with that old stuff called “Vinyl” Yes that’s right, only REAL RECORDS getting played here ladies & gentlemen! Merry Christmas one and all, and albeit a little late, here’s the podcast!  The first Disco Scratch podcast, we had a good laugh making it and we hope you like it.  The spirit of what I’m going to be doing with this, is just let my guests be themselves, talk about the music they love, experiences, whatever really…just be natural.

I’ll be speaking to personal friends over the coming months, and some people that are know in the UK Hip Hop scene.

Well, Corrina joined me for the first one and we spoke about sampling, soul, funk, Rare Groove, all kinds of stuff, a little over an hour.  I’m writing this on Christmas Eve at just after twenty past nine, with two ridiculously excited kids upstairs!
