AT LAST!
A rip of this has finally come to light, massive props to my man DuckAlert for ripping this and doing the editing, cheers mate!
This tape came about cos me, Jim & Stew (Panoramix) were all going to the Battle Of The Year 1996 in Germany and Jim & I decided to knock up a tape to flog at the event. So Jim provided most of the Wax and I did the cuts and editing, and we ended up with a pretty fly tape! The A side is a good mixed up 45 minutes of past flavours, loads of tracks mixed up in there, and the flip is all the latest import 12s that were out at the time. It was so dope to hear this again as I sold all the tapes and lost the master! Luckily DuckAlert had one kicking about and blessed me with it. Here’s the cover with the tracklist:

So I am really chuffed to be uploading this as I thought it was lost forever, and this was pre computers for me, so the A side was done on a Tascam Porta 05 4 track, and the flip just a straight mix on my 1210s done in one hit.
Try and pass the word round on this one, it’s a snorter… enjoy!

K Wook is an old school head outta Swansea Wales and by crikey does he love his old beats. He’s part of the T.F.P. crew with DJ Demo and a couple other lads.
This mix has loads of dope UK tunes on it, trust me, the cuts and blends are marvelous my Disco Scratching bredren!
The mix is called Memories of mayhem. It’s the 2nd mix on this CD. The first one is also a def mix, concentrating on the mid to late 80s US stuff, like Rakim, BDP. Ultras, all mixed to devestating effect. If there is demand for it I’ll up it in another post. Actually the mix is on Demo’s myspace page, it’s called “Scratch My Itch Up”.
This mix is 1m 32s long and it’s ripped at high quality.

Flippin’ back through the crates to another slice of Simon Harris Wax. This time volume 2 is up. My personal favourite out of the first 4 that he released, this deffo had some decent cuts. The “woo yeah” break from Lyn Collin’ “Think” makes an appearance, as does the break from Eric B & Rakim’s “Paid In Full”, Soul Searcher’s “Ashley’s Roach Clip”.

Yes yes y’all, che, che a check check, check 1,2, dipping back into 1987 here’s the link for a vinyl rip I did for the Def Momentum blog for a mush named MOLE… if you haven’t visited the blog yet I suggest you do so with great speed and dexterity as there is much dope hip hop to fill your walkmans with. Over the coming weeks I’ll rip the other 7 I’ve got (to be honest this is a bit of a nostalgia trip as to be honest, they were fairly arse even in 1987! Still, it was better to scratch aaaaahhhh and fresh! on this than on my fab 5 freddy 12! Apologies for the pops crackes & jumps (and worn out bits)
