On Thursday night, I was transported back to a time when I had a bowl haircut & dressed like action man.  Like most other kids in the 70s my long summer days consisted of adventures with friends on our bikes.  For me this was on the disused section of the railway on Chawton Park Road in Alton.  Tonights ABU! made me sink into the deeper realms of my memory as I struggled to identify theme tunes to shows I watched as a kid, but haven’t even thought of for the best part of 40 years.

I think back to my junior school, “The Butts” in Alton.  My dad as a fireman, the phone often ringing in the middle of the night (the only reason we had a phone was because of dad’s work).  The TV in the lounge, massive by standards back then, probably 24 inch, with 3 channels.  No gadgets, no screens, no social media.  Bliss…

This podcast will take you back to that era.  I’m 45 as at the time of writing this, I guess most people listening are in that ballpark, give or take a few years… if you were a kid in the 70s, prepare to get your grey matter working.  The chatroom was ace as we discussed the various tracks, sound bites, adverts and themes to our childhood.  Don’t miss out on this, it was a great show, cheers Reeps!

Download/stream link is below, if Repo uploads to any other audio hosting sites I’ll link them in here.

No show next week 20th July as I am at my local philosophy debate group (no joke!), first night.  So see you on the 27th… I might do a Polystylism show in the interim, if I do it’ll be announced via Twitter, Facebook & on here…
